Next scheduled event: Coming Soon!

Spark your creative jones at Scripting Aloud, a monthly scriptreading and networking event for scriptwriters and actors that began its run in August 2005. Initially at Behind the Scenes performing arts bookstore and coffee shop on Broadway in Vancouver, Scripting Aloud moved a few blocks down the street in July 2006 to Our Town Café, at Broadway and Kingsway.

Scripting Aloud helps generate production-ready film, television, stage and radio scripts by or about pan-Asian Canadians, and is a venue for actors to hone their cold reading ability. Whether you have a script-in-hand you want to hear read; want to exercise your interpretive performance skills through reading scripts and scene study; or have a motivated interest in being part of a creative vibe, Scripting Aloud is a forum for you.

Past Announcements:

Scripting Aloud's second staged play, The Quickie (Feb. 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 2008)

Scripting Aloud's first staged play, Twisting Fortunes (Feb. 6-9, 2007)

Scripting Aloud finds a new home

We are pleased to announce that Scripting Aloud will continue its readings at the cozy and artist-friendly Our Town Café (245 E. Broadway at Kingsway, Vancouver, BC).
